Northern Ireland start-up success: 24 workshops training 500+ Bodywork Professionals in Year 1

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 8, 2010 -- Killinchy, Northern Ireland, UK - November 2010, Bodywork Professional Development (BPD), continuing professional development (CPD) and structural bodywork training and marketing business is celebrating its first birthday by offering an unlimited workshop referral offer for clients.

The offer, which gives new and existing clients the opportunity to gain bonuses of GBP10 per referral, is designed to help bodyworkers cut the cost of their own CPD! Once the referral signs up a GBP10 credit is available to use towards future BPD workshops/trainings and there is no limit so it¹s now possible to do CPD for free!

BPD Ltd was successfully launched in November 2009 after Nicola Brooks, its founder and managing director, identified a gap in the UK massage therapy and structural bodywork market whilst researching presenters for the Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation (SMTO) annual conference. Following on from the conference she began approaching quality presenters from all over the world to teach hands-on CPD workshops in the UK.

The company's inaugural workshop, held at the British School of Osteopathy, London, welcomed internationally acclaimed author Serge Gracovetsky PhD flying in from Montreal, Canada to give a one-day lecture to 45 delegates. Since then BPD has hosted presenters from Germany, Australia, South Africa, USA, as well as some home-grown talent, presenting cutting-edge workshops on Fascial Release, Deep Tissue Massage and Myofascial Techniques, amongst others. Recent collaborations to cross-promote conferences hosted by major organisations, like the Chartered Institute of Physiotherapy (CSP), also proved extremely successful for the start-up.

Commenting on the completion of a successful first year, with over 500 students from across Europe participating in the 24 UK based workshops, Nicola says, "Bodywork Professional Development (BPD) is looking forward to the future. With a diary fit to burst with high quality Continuous Professional Development courses, in 2011 workshops will be presented by 19 leading international presenters in their fields and will see the company extend its reach by launching in Dublin, Ireland.

She adds. "We're really pleased at the response we've had from the bodywork community; this great referral bonus is our way of saying thank you and giving something back to our loyal supporters."

Looking towards the 2012 London Olympics, BPD will offer bodywork professionals the opportunity to learn from yet more of the world's foremost lecturers a year in advance in 2011. Presenters will include New Zealand's Sol Petersen, teaching Applied Structural Integration Skills, Neuromuscular Re-education specialist Dr Peter Levy, from the USA, and past president of the Australian Association of Massage Therapists, Greg Morling.

Ms Brooks says, "Bodywork Professional Development has also been fortunate enough to schedule the 2012 launch of the CORE Institute's Structural Integration training with the institute's executive director and founder George Kousaleos." She adds, "George was involved in both the Atlanta and Athens Olympics, and is extremely generous at sharing his wealth of experience to participants at his workshops, with his protocols easy to apply."

She concludes, "These workshops will provide excellent tools for dealing with conditions that would otherwise ground athletes and stop them competing at the Olympics, which, for most, will be the event of a lifetime."
