BOE Hefei 6th generation LCD panel production lines will MP Mass Production tomorrow

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 16, 2010 -- China's first 6th generation LCD panel production line - BOE Hefei project line will be mass production on Nov. 17. Zhang Yu, BOE’s spokesman said, the plant has been delivery to Great Wall Computer, Lenovo Group and other companies before.

The total investment of this project is 17.5 billion. It is the mainland's first line of self-construction of the high generation, also is the first electronic information industry projects which government invested 4 trillion and first plan after the declaration of "Electronic Information Industry Promotion Plan". It is mainly focused on the LCD panel production of under 37-inch TV and PC displayer.

Currently, first stage of the project will product a capacity of about 30,000 pieces per month, the initial design capacity is 90,000 pieces per month. However, Wang Dongsheng, chairman of BOE revealed that in the future the capacity will reach 120,000 pieces per month, with an annual output more than 1.5 million pieces LCD panels.

This project has been mass production more than a year. In order to mass production, BOE has been finished the BOE Hefei 6th generation required testing and certification through 5th generation line which has increased the operating pressure, and lead to losses. In fact, in addition to Great Wall, Lenovo; the factory has been delivered goods for nearly 30 domestic and foreign companies, such as Konka, Hisense, TPV, Changhong, Vestel, Samsung, and HP.
