Bokashicycle Debuts Poop Fermenter at Seattle Dog Show
Welcome visit Our WebSite:
http://www.bokashicycle.com To many, the idea of picking up poop from your dog or cat is a necessary ritual of animal ownership. But disposing of that plastic bag in the trash leads to methane gas in the landfill. Bokashicycle's Pet Cycle Fermenting System provides a simple sustainable solution to a growing problem. Pet waste is safely and rapidly transformed into a product that restores nutrients and microbes to the soil and it stops the waste ground water contamination problem.
The 124th annual Seattle Dog Show will be held this weekend at the Qwest Field Event Center on Saturday and Sunday March 13th and 14th. Bokashicycle will show pet owners how to responsibly dispose of waste with a Pet Cycle Fermenting System.
According to the founder of Bokashicycle, Dr. Lawrence Green, Pet Cycle is the totally natural way to recycle pet poop. "Pet Cycle systems convert waste into nutrients to feed ornamental plants, stop ground water polluting and eliminate greenhouse gases" said Dr. Green.
If you collect pet waste in plastic bags that are then sealed and deposited in trash cans that are then taken to the landfill, it guarantees the waste will be retained deep in the ground to release methane for years in a repository of plastic polymers. “We need to keep the waste out of the landfill”, said Green. Pet waste is a great concern because the microbes and parasites from the waste end up fouling water supplies. A solution was needed.
Fermenting animal waste is easy and fast and it is by far the most environmentally sound way of getting rid of the waste according to Dr. Green. No organic waste should ever end up in a landfill.
The Bokashicycle Pet Cycle Fermenting System safely and rapidly transforms pet waste into a product that restores nutrients and microbes to the soil for ornamental plants. After the poop is fermented for at least 7 days it is buried in the ground and covered with soil for 14 more days. The poop is completely digested by the soil microbes and the nitrogen and other nutrients are available for ornamental plants. No waste is left to contaminate ground water or fill a landfill.
According to Dr. Green, fermenting pet waste is a natural extension of the Bokashicycle food waste fermenting program plan that is far more efficient than composting.
We’ve been led to believe that an important part of recycling and keeping the planet green is through making and using compost, Green says. We are told that we’ve got to get the organic waste out of the landfill and that composting is good. Dr. Green disagrees. He explains that composting is not nature’s way, but man’s way of rotting material and that it’s actually polluting the planet by releasing toxic substances into the atmosphere. So, what’s the alternative? Bokashi is a new and revolutionary way of fermenting organic waste. The method was developed in Japan and, when done properly, breaks down scrap material with many microorganisms working in sync.
Bokashicycle’s system is an elegant solution to a serious problem, Green says. It combines common sense and good science. It’s about a natural cycle as opposed to a recycle. Bokashicycle is designed for residential and commercial use; it’s for people who want to be leaders in the recycling industry.
