BOLT Bridge is designed to provide Laserfiche users with a simple and affordable way to deploy distributed scanning for their Laserfiche system. The BOLT Bridge connector utilizes the DocAction control panel to eliminate the repetitive task of naming, indexing, and routing of frequently scanned documents into the Laserfiche repository.

BOLT Bridge functions by allowing users to define up to nine different document profiles. The profiles store information including document naming, indexing, routing, user log-in, and volume information to be applied automatically at scan time. By selecting the desired profile number on the scanner control panel documents scanned using BOLT Bridge are routed to the Laserfiche repository in real time. In most cases BOLT Bridge can be used without the Laserfiche client software installed on the scanning workstation.

BOLT Bridge profiles can be set to ADVANCED MODE to prompt the scan operator to input required information on-the-fly at scan time. The connector software supports features such as tokens, electronic sticky notes, and the creation and use of bar-coded routing sheets. BOLT Bridge also places a BOLT Bridge In Box icon on the desktop for drag-and-drop capture of any electronic file to Laserfiche. An MFP version of BOLT Bridge is also available to support network folder polling.
