Bonnie Crombie MP & Leader Ignatieff Not The Choice For Mississauga-Streetsville;Brad Butt Soars

(Free-Press-Release.com) May 1, 2011 -- n the 2006 Liberal leadership, Bonnie Crombie, now Liberal MP, was one of the first to back Michael Ignatieff for Liberal leader, serving as an early and active organizer for him. After the Liberals lost the 2008 federal election, Ignatieff took over the federal Liberal party and was appointed leader, rather than win the leadership democratically through an election process.

Today it seems that choice isn’t boding well for the Liberals, as Wikipedia is currently reporting 31 newspapers have endorsed the Stephen Harper Conservatives and by extension local Conservative Brad Butt, while 0 have endorsed the Liberals.

Brad Butt, 43, is a life long resident of Mississauga who has dedicated 30 years of volunteer community service to his community, receiving a 30 year Service Award from the Mayor and the City of Mississauga. He was the Founding Chair of Safe City Mississauga, serves on the boards of the Mississauga Food Bank, Mississauga Sports Council and Peel Children’s Aid Foundation as well as a member of the Mississauga Committee of Adjustment. He was a founding member of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee and was named Young Citizen of the Year in 1986.
Brad also served as a television host and commentator on Rogers Television in Peel for more than fifteen years.
Brad is the President of the Greater Toronto Apartment Association a position he has held since 1999. Brad is married to Rhonda and has two daughters Sarah and Megan.
