Bonnie Ccrombie MP Mississauga-Streetsville And The Liberals Shut Out: Toronto Star Endorses The Ndp Leaving The Liberals With No Major Endorsements In The Gta
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) April 30, 2011 --
The Toronto Star today endorsed the NDP, leaving Liberal MP Bonnie Crombie and her Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff with no major endorsements in the GTA.
The Star was adamant in its argument, citing, “Ignatieff has spent the past few days lamenting the loss of the centre ground of Canadian politics and attacking the NDP as spendthrifts and “boy scouts.” His party’s collapse in Quebec raises the question of whether it can truly be considered a national force at this point.”
It goes on to say, “Liberal governments built much of what is best about this country — but voters are sending a clear message that they don’t feel they owe the Liberals anything for what the party did once upon a time. Nor do they believe the party has fully purged itself of the cronyism and corruption of the past.”
In Mississauga-Streetsville, Brad Butt, Conservative candidate continues to ride the wave of endorsements from the Mississauga News, the Globe and Mail and the National Post, all calling for a return to power for the Conservatives.
“It’s been a great campaign for us. The people in this riding know there have been too many elections in a short period of time and they are telling me it’s time for a Conservative majority.”
The election is Monday, May 2nd from 9:30am to 9:30pm. For more information please call 905 281-7855.
