Romance author Calinda B will sign A Wicked Awakening and A Wicked Beginning, the first two books in her paranormal romance Wicked Series, at Twice Sold Tales on Mar 25 and Third Place Books on Mar 29

Wicked Series author Calinda B will appear in Seattle to sign copies of A Wicked Awakening (ISBN 9780983912606) and A Wicked Beginning (ISBN 9780983912620), the first two books in her paranormal romance series featuring heroine, Chérie Manhattan. Calinda will appear on Sunday, March 25, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Twice Sold Tales, 4501 University Way N.E., Seattle, WA 98105, and on Thursday, March 29, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Third Place Books, Lake Forest Park Towne Centre, 17171 Bothell Way NE, Lake Forest Park, WA 98155.
Set in Seattle, Washington, A Wicked Awakening tells the story of Chérie, a twenty-nine-year-old community center aerobics instructor, who leads an active life with her live-in boyfriend, Cam Tyson. Chérie meets a mysterious, man during a night out dancing with her best friend and, following that encounter, begins seeing visions of ghostly figures from another world. After a terrifying incident at work, Chérie begins to have regular encounters with the mystery man, Kayden, who returns from the future, claiming to be there to help save her from evil. Struggling to find herself and her power, Chérie discovers much more about her past, present, and future than she ever dreamed possible.
Like A Wicked Awakening, A Wicked Beginning[/i[ begins in Seattle, Washington, this time with a focus on Chérie Manhattan’s boyfriend, Cam Tyson. An active kayaker and rock climber, and a counselor for abusive men at a drug and alcohol recovery center, Cam has recently moved into a house owned by his friend, Manoko (Mano) Wikaira-Williams, a Maori spirit tracker. Cam begins experiencing strange attacks from a supernatural being, drawing him, Chérie, and Mano into a battle against the creature with help from Mano’s ancient elders. When co-worker and former lover, Angela Myer, begins to stalk Cam through the use of magic and nightmares, he faces yet another clash of wills that threatens to destroy him and end his relationship with Chérie for good.
“I began writing The Wicked Series novels as an act of inspiration and was surprised to discover that they allowed me a way of integrating the physical and artistic aspects of myself with the other elements of my life,” said Calinda. “Along the way, I’ve done much work to heal and embrace my sensual self, including exorcising the few demons still lurking about. After completing two books in the Wicked Series, I’m thrilled to report that a great deal of healing has taken place. An award-winning web designer and certified SEO specialist, Calinda B has worked in the Internet industry as a web page designer/developer since the early 1990's. She has also taught web site design and computer graphics at community colleges in Northern California.
