BLAG, high-end British music, fashion, art, film, culture and design magazine, contracted with three talented people to create a new song in honor of Mercedes-Benz. The new “Benz” song is based on Janis Joplin’s 1971 song, “Mercedes-Benz”.

Singer/songwriter Estelle, rapper/producer David Banner, and artist Daley have joined together to create the “Benz” song and video. Estelle, Banner, and Daley all have distinctively different talents that work well together. Their song was released on April 18th on iTunes. Co-owner of BLAG, Sally A. Edwards, said “We all came together on the meaning for the new version and thought it should be about ambition and triumph.” Edwards likes the fact that it ties in with Mercedes-Benz’s125th Anniversary. Christoph Horn, Director Global Communications for Mercedes-Benz Cars, stated that Mercedes was honored that the young artists were creating the new “Benz” song and that the automaker supported BLAG’s project.
