Boulder wins 2008 Legion C State Title
Boulder Legion C Team earns State Title. Lead by stellar pitching effort, team wins title

JOHNSTOWN -- The Boulder Panther 16-under squad didn't allow a run in its final three games and capped off a title run at the American Legion C state tournament on Tuesday night.
The Panthers beat Eaton 4-0 in the championship game.
Logan Neitenbach earned tournament MVP honors, hitting 13-for-23 with three doubles and three home runs.
Walker Henry (2-0), Drew Noolas (2-0) and Kelly Kokora (1-0, save) led the Panther pitching staff in the tournament, while David Collector and Eric Rothweiler went a combined 20-for-39 at the plate.
Boulder finished the summer season with a record of 31-17.

Highlights -- Tyson Martinez, Jose Soto and Derrick Bleeker all homered in a six-run second for Niwot, but Rocky Mountain proved too strong. Niwot (35-6, 12-3 league) plays a doubleheader at Fairview JAG at 3 p.m. Friday in a battle for first place in their Legion A division.

Jared Moore led Boulder, hitting a grand slam as the Panthers tried to rally in the second. Fairview (37-15) hosts Niwot in a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Friday.
