Bram Stokers Great Grandson to attend horror film festival

Dacre Stoker Bram stokers great grandson is to attend a horror film festival in Whitby Dacre who lives in Canada is also a writer himself . the Bram Stoker film festival will host over 30 feature films over the weekend of the 16th Oct 2009 in Whitby North Yorkshire in the uk.Film makers from all over the world will be heading to the uk and its somewhat of a coup to get filmakers to travel to the uk for what is the first festival to be held in Whitby,despite the local council trying to ban the festival before it got off the ground .An estimated 1000 people are expected to attend the festival over the three days with many uk premieres also in attendance will be Ingrid Pitt the Hammer horror film star from the 70s she also appeared in the Whicker man and was once the highest paid screen actress in the uk. The film festival will be held in the Whitby pavillion the local arts centre Sid Sabbath films is also filming a short film entitled Dr Sleepcreature and the Whitby Vampire while the festival is on.follow the blog on
