A creative and impresario of the art style of jazz, Brandon Marcele Spencer Primus’ career as a jazz saxophonist has encompassed the roles of composer, arranger, and instrumentalist. He is a hybrid of the contemporary and smooth jazz genre with a touch of R&B sound. Brandon was heavily influenced by the music of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee jazz musician Miles Davis, and jazz legends John Coltrane, Anita Baker, Grover Washington, Jr., and Kenny G. His style can be described as climatic, progressive, with a little Funk, R&B Jazz, of smooth and high energy.

Brandon Marcele Spencer Primus was born October 13, 1983, in Shreveport, Louisiana. At the age of 10 where he played his first saxophone solo “When the Saints Go Marching In” at Morning Star Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA where he attended services. Brandon graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Business Program in Boston, MA, where he was mentored by Walter Beasley, a prominent smooth jazz musician and one of his childhood influences. After graduating he moved to New York in 2008 to take a job as a talent scout for Columbia Records. He has performed at Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar, Cafe Wha Greenwich Village, Club Groove NYC, and the Village Underground a legendary New York club known as a proving ground for young talent. He has shared the stage with artists like Rashaan Patterson, Jody Watley, Jeffrey Osborne, Eric Roberson, and BB King's Jazz Blues Night Club in Times Square and at the Birchmere Music Hall in Alexandria, VA.
