Brian P. Dempsey Joins Fesnak & Associates

Dempsey, CPA/CFF/CITP, CFE has joined the firm as a manager in the Valuation and Litigation Support group. Dempsey will be based in the Blue Bell office and will provide forensic accounting and dispute consulting services to a wide range of clients including public and private corporations, audit committees, legal counsel and financial institutions.

Most recently a Technical Manager with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Dempsey formerly served as a Forensic Accounting and Litigation Support Manager with Shechtman Marks Devor PC and as a manager in Deloitte’s Assurance practice. In addition to his extensive experience in forensic accounting and litigation consulting, Dempsey’s background includes substantial audit and technical accounting expertise. He has led fraud, audit and attestation engagements, many related to securities fraud matters. Dempsey has supported legal counsel in many high-profile securities fraud cases involving complex accounting and auditing issues, several of which involved Fortune 500 and Fortune 100 companies.

Dempsey received a B.S. degree in Accounting, as well as a minor in Economics, from the University of Delaware. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified in Financial Forensics, Certified Information Technology Professional and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (National and Philadelphia chapters).
