Bring a Book to Bed Day! 2010 To Be Celebrated Tomorrow

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 26, 2010 -- Istanbul, Turkey - Writers Lake and Maria Alba Brunetti's upcoming third annual Bring a Book to Bed Day! will take place on February 27, 2010. Istanbul, Turkey, the 2010 European Capital of Culture, will be home to this year's international celebration. Maria Alba Brunetti and Bring a Book to Bed Day! invite everyone to unplug, relax, and curl up with a good book. This year's celebration was extended throughout the month of February ın honor of the big, beautiful city of Istanbul and has over 100 participants from around the world ready to bring a book to bed.

Maria Alba Brunetti and Writers Lake would also like to offer the opportunity of giving back on this holiday to kids who might not have the resources to have their own books. We would like to extend the option of donating to two worthy causes, DonorsChoose.org in the United States, an organization that provides books and other school supplies to students in high-needs schools as well as The Rebirth of the East, an organization that is dedicated to building libraries and providing other supplies to schools in the eastern region of Turkey. Writers Lake hosts Bring a Book to Bed Day! on the last Saturday of February every year. Maria Alba Brunetti is currently writing a book entitled The Goldberg Variations and a screenplay entitled Princess Hipster. She previously was the sole blogger for AOL’s Bright and Spacious. She was also the Experts Producer at iVillage.com's Parent Soup as well as the Editor-in-Chief of VirtualItaly.com. The blog Writers Lake, was launched in November of 2007 and is devoted to poets and writers who seek to share encouragement, tips, and ideas about creativity as well as a deep love of the written word.
