British artist Annemarie Wright creates handwritten picture of Bush for New York Art Fair

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 19, 2010 -- A talented artist from England has created a picture of George Bush using a series of ‘Bushisms’ from his time in Office.

Annemarie Wright (31) draws inspiration from Jacob Weisberg’s book ‘The Accidental Wit and Wisdom of Our 43rd President’. The picture entitled ‘The problem with the French is that they don’t have a word for entrepreneur’ is to be exhibited by the Woolff Gallery as part of the Affordable Art Fair New York at the end of September.

Bush, now renowned for making farcical statements and with two terms in Office - spanning from January 2001 to January 2009 - had plenty of time to do so.

Annemarie’s last piece - Tony Blair created using the handwritten names of soldiers who died in Iraq and Afghanistan - was criticised by families of the bereaved as being ‘disrespectful’.

This is the latest in a body of work by Annemarie called ‘Scandals – Art that rocked the World’ which also contains a picture of Michael Jackson detailing child abuse allegations and of the Twin Towers created using the names of the victims from within the World Trade Centre, passengers on United Airlines Flight 93 and American Airlines Flight 77.

Wright's picture of George Bush will be exhibited by the Woolff Gallery (London) at the ‘Affordable Art Fair New York’ from September 30th until October 3rd.

Annemarie Wright graduated from The University of Wolverhampton in 2002 with a First class degree in Fine Art and Printmaking and is now based in Birmingham, England.
