Broadway on Tour Youth Theater Group Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Reunion

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 20, 2009 -- Broadway on Tour celebrates its 20th year delivering quality musical theater to the children and families of Orange County. The youth theater group will commemorate its anniversary by hosting a reunion of current and former participants, including past cast and crew members and their families. There will be special recognition paid to past and present staff members and board members who have played an important role in the success of the organization.

Broadway on Tour continues to increase its numbers of season ticket holders despite the recent economic downturn that has eliminated other live performance options. Next month, Broadway on Tour will open its 20th season with Disney's Beauty and the Beast, carrying on its tradition of offering a complete season of musicals to the theater-going community.

Touting the motto “Children Bringing Theater to Children”, Broadway on Tour not only provides quality entertainment, but offers the youth of the community a chance to train and perform in a professional environment. Since many public schools are no longer able to offer theater-related programs to children and youth, Broadway on Tour has been filling this ever-widening gap.

The success of the organization is due, in part, to the dedication and resourcefulness of its staff and board members. The price of tickets has remained low and is easily within reach for those on a family budget. In addition, the group is funded primarily by its steadily-growing number of patrons which has allowed for continuous improvements in the quality of the performances. Broadway on Tour has been in residence at the historic Ebell Theater in Santa Ana for the past nine years.

The 20th anniversary reunion will take place on Saturday, September 26 at 7:00 pm at the Ebell Club in Santa Ana. The evening will include some live entertainment and feature a show tune sing-along. Anyone formerly or currently associated with Broadway on Tour is encouraged to attend.
