Buckeye Appraisal Services - Lower Your Property Taxes
If you live in Franklin County Ohio, property values have dropped. Your tax assessment hasn't been reviewed so you are being taxed on a higher property value than what your home may be worth.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 1, 2009 --
Franklin County has been one of the hardest hit in the recent downturn in real estate. Most homes have lost significant value and that means you will be paying taxes on a value that may be too high for the current market conditions. Did you know you have the right to dispute your property tax assessment?
The Columbus Ohio board of realtors reports the average market sales price has decreased by $22,318 since 2006 (as of September, 2009). That can add up as significant tax savings if you get your home appraised and dispute your real estate tax assessment.
Last tax year in Franklin County, a 3 member board processed more than 6500 dispute applications. Don't miss out on the opportunity this year to ensure your assessment is accurate. Typical resolution time of a tax appeal may be up to 6 months. A current real estate appraisal of your home can expedite the process. We can not only provide an appraisal, but will also help guide you through the appeals process. The Buckeye Appraisal Service staff has over 45 years experience conducting Real estate Appraisals in the state of Ohio with an A+ Better business bureau rating.
Tax Appeal applications are only accepted from December (after the tax bill is mailed) through March 31.
