Building block sets – fun and educational both at the same time

Building block sets have always been there for young children since forever. These blocks are not only used to keeps the children busy but at the same time it gives them the basic education about life as well with its different colors and shapes, which gives the children knowledge about different colors. Nowadays building block sets come up with alphabets and numbers written on their sides which gives them the first experience of reading and counting in such an early age. It also teaches children other things such as spellings, alphabets, colors, counting, music, nursery rhymes, math and go to the extent of also teaching them good manners, since children have a habit of throwing these blocks anywhere they feel like. By stopping children from an early age from throwing their blocks around and by making them put them away when done, this is where the first steps of manners are taught to these children so even when they grow up they still remain well mannered and learn how to put their things in their proper place.
Building block sets are mostly for children aged between one to five because typically the child does not want to play with them after that but while he is in this age bracket, sets of blocks provide him with gradual learning as he gets to the age of five, so these blocks start the children’s education from the start so that he knows the basics even before he starts going to school. Blocks start with teaching the children about the different colors and gradually move on to learning basic mathematical concepts such as counting and its basics like addition and subtraction.

There are a lot of parents all over the world that still don’t understand the whole concept of building block sets and they believe that they are just blocks or toys and that they don’t serve any useful purpose other than keeping the children busy and giving them time to relax. But they couldn’t be more wrong, because building blocks do so more that for children. The fact remains that a lot of building bock sets come with different music or even better nursery rhymes which again create a whole new enriching environment for every child to start their introduction to these nursery rhymes and try to repeat the words or maybe just start humming the tune of the nursery rhymes, while entertaining and captivating them at the same time.
