Flipping is re-enforcing learning that helps students improve their soft skills faster
The Business SoftSkills Company announced today that all of their online video products are now compatible with the new œFlip Teaching methodology.
Flip Teaching is defined by Wikipedia as œa form of blended learning which encompasses any use of technology to leverage the learning in a classroom, so a teacher can spend more time interacting with students instead of lecturing. This is most commonly being done using videos that students view outside of class time. It is also known as backwards classroom, reverse instruction, flipping the classroom, and reverse teaching.
In a survey conducted in June 2012 by Flipped Learning Network in conjunction with Classroom Window, with nearly 500 flipped educators responding, 67% reported improvement of their students' test scores and 80% improvement of students' attitudes toward learning. Additionally, 88% of teachers indicated œimproved job satisfaction, with 46% noting œsignificantly improved job satisfaction.
Jim Stedt, one of the partners at Business SoftSkills Company said, œAfter seeing the research studies, making this major product improvement was an easy decision. All of our soft skills products are œFlip Teaching ready and are now shipping, he added. Stedt also said there would be no additional cost related to this upgrade for any of their products.
