C.R. Referrals – Costa Rica Travel Experts throws support to DOGLAND Shelter in 2011

Referrals – Costa Rica Travel Experts - All our employees have been involved with animal rescue work from before we ever opened our doors as a travel service. All of our agents have 2 things in common, they worked in upper management in the tourism sector in Costa Rica, and they all LOVE animals.

We are starting an exciting new program in 2011 and I wanted to share it with all of you.

For those who do not yet know about us, our travel services are always free, we specialize in custom vacation itineraries and packages for travelers wanting to visit our country. We make commissions like all travel agents do, but we are a little different in that we donate everything after company operating expenses to charity, specifically dog rescues in Costa Rica.

If you live here, own a business here, or have traveled here, you know this is a problem that affects us all. With an estimated 1 million street dogs here, it’s hard not to notice…

Our clients make the rescue work we do possible. This year we are starting to get more involved with an amazing shelter located in San Ramon. We are shifting some of our focus and resources towards Dog Sponsorship at Dogland.

DOGLAND is a NO-KILL shelter, currently housing 145 dogs. The woman who runs it has a heart of gold and we are honored to join forces with her and helping her on her own mission. The photo shown is of a recent visit.
