Cheyney University of Pennsylvania is honored to welcome back entertainer and educator
Dr. Bill Cosby, on Monday, Sept. 21, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30p.m.
The very special brunch event will be held to announce Dr. Bill Cosby as Honorary Chairman for the CMM Advisory Board at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania.
The Call Me MISTER program is a unique teacher leadership program for minority males that provides its participants resources and support necessary to succeed as pre-service teachers who become mentors, professionals and change agents for society.
This is a historical occasion for the program, which has previously been endorsed by Oprah Winfrey and others who show interest in increasing the minority representation in the classroom.
A formal multi-media presentation and student awards will be held as part of the program featuring remarks from Dr. Cosby. Dr. Cosby will not be available for interview following the program.
CMM Director Mr. Howard Jean will be available for questions along with Dr. Ivan Banks, Provost and VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Roy Jones, CMM National Director and Dr. Larnell Flanagan, Dean of Education and Professional Studies.
