Cambridge Who’s Who member James S. Pinckney

Pinckney, Entrepreneur and Owner of J&J Innovation LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who’s Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in information technology.

A former executive at Lenovo and Microsoft, James S. Pinckney has gained invaluable expertise in the areas of sales, marketing, business planning, and strategic development. He brings 25 years of industry experience to J&J Innovation, the information technology company that he founded. At the helm of the organization since 2008, Mr. Pinckney is in charge of overseeing sales and marketing, generating revenue, devising business strategy, managing projects, and consulting.

Mr. Pinckney draws on previous general management experience at Lenovo, where he served as vice president of business transactions, and at Microsoft, where he occupied the position of vice president of worldwide sales. He considers doing work that allows him to pursue his passion for technology to be the most gratifying aspect of his long career. He attributes his success to his eagerness to learn.

To complement his industry knowledge, Mr. Pinckney is pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration at the University of Michigan. He previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina. A native of Seattle, Wash., he is the proud father of two accomplished young men; one son is a doctor and the other, a lawyer.
