Camp KidJam Will “Turn It Up” for Summer 2012

Cumming, Georgia, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) November 30, 2011 -- Registration is already underway for Camp KidJam, an innovative concept in children’s camps designed by Orange not only for kids, but for their leaders. As a component of the Orange Strategy, Camp KidJam is designed around the principles of their 252 Basics children’s curriculum, which teach children to grow in wisdom, faith and friendship. It provides a fun experience for kids, as well as unique workshops to develop adult leaders and elevate the significance of small groups for children.

The theme is “Turn It Up: Crank up the power of God’s story in your life.” Out of all the stories in the world, only one is timeless. It’s the story of our big God who stops at nothing to have a relationship with us. During summer 2012, campers will take a journey through God’s story and see how people in the Bible cranked up the volume of God in their lives. They’ll also see how they can do the same in our own.

Leadership training is one thing that sets Camp KidJam apart. While the children attend a series of tracks based on their own interests, training is offered for the staff and volunteers who brought them. Jam sessions are a particular highlight to both kids and leaders because they engage the kids in high-energy worship with some of the best children's worship leaders around! Drama and storytelling is also part of the worship experience. Additionally, small groups provide a time for kids to interact with each other and connect with leaders. In fact, camp is a great springboard for building relationships between kids and leaders.

Camp KidJam will be held on various college campuses during summer 2012: June 12-15 at Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL; June 19-22 at Lander University in Greenwood, SC; June 26-29 at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN; July 11-14 and July 15-18 at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC; and July 23-26 and July 27-30 at Texas Women’s University in Denton, TX. Some camps will sell out, so early registration is encouraged. Prices will increase on February 1, 2012.
