Can Hearing Aids Be Recycled?
Can Hearing Aids Be Recycled?
Ascent Hearing Care provides a Hearing Aids Scrappage Scheme that allows hearing aid users to recycle their old hearing aids and get trade-in value against the cost of their new digital hearing aids.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 18, 2010 --
Hearing aid users can simply bring their old hearing aids in to their nearest Ascent Hearing Care Centre, which are on high streets across the country, and we will recycle them for use in developing countries.
The Ascent Scrappage Scheme also gives hearing aid users trade-in value off the price of new digital hearing aids from Ascent when they bring in their old ones.
The old hearing aids are checked, cleaned and if necessary repaired before they go on to be used again in developing countries, where hearing aids and hearing care services are often in desparately short supply.
The charity Sound Seekers takes much-needed recycled hearing aids like these, as well as professional hearing care services, to developing countries where people with hearing loss (especially children) can benefit from them.
Please be aware that Ascent cannot recycle NHS hearing aids, because they remain the property of the NHS. However we can give users of NHS hearing aids a voucher off the price of new hearing aids.
Full details of the Ascent Hearing Aids Scrappage Scheme can be found at www.ascenthearing.co.uk.
