FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) March 15, 2011 --
Dealer Services Corporation (DSC), prepared false applications for titles and obtained counterfeit Indiana motor vehicle titles utilizing interstate commerce.
A California Superior Court ruled that DSC was guilty of converting vehicle titles after the theft of several vehicles in Orange County. Immediately following the theft, the vehicles were falsely reported as being repossessed by DSC to the Santa Ana Police Department, thwarting the efforts of the rightful owner to report the vehicles stolen.
DSC hid the vehicles at a California auction, prepared false paperwork and obtained counterfeit Indiana motor vehicle titles. DSC employees admitted that they were not Indiana BMV agents
After stealing $200,000 in cars from an Escondido businessman, DSC demanded that $97,000 be paid for the return of the cars. After paying DSC the $97,000, DSC demanded an additional $30,000 in cash to pay “repossession” company.
