Mark MiLan mandates a Métis cultural project through his company MiLan Art Ltd., which is titled the 'MiLan Metis Healing Art Project -- MMHAP'. His studio is located in Vancouver, whereas there he creates uniquely Canadian Metis assemblage artworks and manufactures hand crafted evolved Metis arrow sash fashions, which all support the Canadian Aboriginal Tourism sector that is mainly void of Metis culture. These efforts meaningfully educate and support Métis awareness in the Vancouver marketplace. Mark MiLan/Milan Art Ltd. is a stakeholder with Aboriginal Tourism BC (AtBC) and supports the mandate and vision of AtBC. Mark MiLan supported AtBC's successful marketing efforts during the 2010 Winter Olympics at the Canada Place/Pan Pacific Hotel Klahowya Village for 18 days and this past summer for 74 days at the Klahowya Village in Stanley Park 2010, which is a legacy of the Olympics. On average 155,000 people visited the Klahowya Village 2010 at Stanley Park. Mark MiLan has been invited once again to participate this summer starting in May at Klahowya Village at Stanley Park 2011, which this time around will last 100 days and is expected to be filled with a much more energetic Aboriginal Program for all to experience. You can also visit a Metis exhibition by Mark MiLan 5 days a week at the RBC Main Branch on Georgia Street in D/T Vancouver.
