Cantey Hanger associates Smith, Speed
and Jones admitted to State Bar of Texas

Fort Worth, Texas (Nov. 20, 2009) -- Cantey Hanger associate attorneys Susan F. Smith, David Speed and Chris Jones have been admitted to the State Bar of Texas.

Smith, a Cleburne native, focuses on litigation. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2006 with a degree in Finance, then attended Texas Tech University School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2009. During her time at Texas Tech, she externed for The Honorable Sam R. Cummings, District Judge for the Northern District of Texas.

Speed’s

practice areas are Family Law and Litigation. He received his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and joined Cantey Hanger in 2009 after having graduated from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. He had interned at the Fort Worth City Attorney's office and clerked at Cantey Hanger for two summers. He previously taught elementary school for seven years for Fort Worth ISD and spent a year in San Diego working with AmeriCorps.


Jones is a 2009 graduate of Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, where he was Moot Court Honor Society President, and focuses on litigation. During law school he clerked at Cantey Hanger for two summers. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Masters in Business Administration

from the University of Dallas Graduate School of Management. Jones grew up in Colleyville and is in Cantey Hanger’s Southlake office.
