Methods and legal recourse for tackling Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) have been under government scrutiny and review in the past year. The Summer’s riots have increased public demands for tougher sentencing and evictions for perpetrators, better protection for vulnerable victims, while at the same time, demonstrating how resilient communities can mitigate the worst effects of ASB. Faster, more flexible response to ASB offences, and more accountability to the communities affected, are now high on the political agenda.
