FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 1, 2009 --
COLUMBUS, Ohio - November 1, 2009 - Sharon DeLay of BoldlyGO Career and Human Resource Management announced today that the International Coach Federation (ICF) has approved the coach version of her “Career Boot Camp: A self-directed guide through career transition” for 13.5 continuing education credits.
“The recognition of ICF in awarding the continuing education credits is significant,” notes DeLay, who is also the creator of Career Boot Camp and the Coach Program. ICF is considered to be the leading professional coaching organization, serving as the “voice of the coaching profession” with over 15,000 national and international member coaches. “I am absolutely thrilled that the Coach Program of Career Boot Camp was approved for just over one-third of the continuing
education credits an ICF-credentialed coach needs to earn in a three-year cycle. This is a testament to the value and content of the Coach Program.”
The Career Boot Camp program for individuals was launched in August 2009 as a self-directed tool for individuals in career transition, as well as an outplacement tool for businesses in need of an affordable alternative to large, outplacement and career management firms. The Coach Program quickly followed as coaches began requesting information on adding the Career Boot Camp program as a turnkey support tool to their existing practices.
The inspiration behind the “Career Boot Camp” is the combination of record level unemployment rates coupled with significant economic unease. “Right now, people need help
with career transition. The marketplace is competitive, but not impossible,” says DeLay. “People are obviously concerned about their career - where it’s going and if they’re prepared for a changing economy. They’re also worried about their budget.” The boot camp encompasses all the benefits of private career coaching, but for a far lower cost.
Participants in the Coach Program experience Career Boot Camp as their clients will – module by module. In addition to working through a majority of the actual activities, coaches will also collaborate with other coaches as part of the training to explore common challenges within career coaching, as well as solutions that will help coaches and their clients thrive.
Coach Program participants receive three copies of the complete Career Boot Camp program, supporting marketing materials, and 9 training sessions with a credentialed career coach and Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), as well as a certified sales coach who will help them define their sales and marketing strategy.
