In addition to a complete green wedding ceremony & reception at Clay Hill Farm in York, Maine, the Grand Prize will include a 5-night honeymoon package at Curtain Bluff Resort in Antigua, followed by a 4-night honeymoon package at Ladera Resort in St. Lucia. Both Virtuoso resorts are Green Globe certified. An overnight at the Boston Harbor Hotel, another Virtuoso partner, kicks-off the Grand-Prize honeymoon. The runner-up couple in the Green Wedding Giveaway® contest, will enjoy seven blissful nights in beautiful Punta Cana, courtesy of Zoetry Agua Resort. A whopping $14,000 in honeymoon donations have been added to the contest.

With less than a week left to enter the Green Wedding Giveaway® contest, current total prize values have risen to $50,000. To qualify for the finals, couples must creatively explore the parallel between a commitment to each other and a commitment to the earth. With both marriage and green requiring lifestyle changes, couples may express their unique shade of green by telling the story of how green could or does play a role in their new future together. A minimum 200-word essay and photo or minimum two-minute video are the baseline contest requirements. Couples may also submit an additional creative expression; a play, a poem, a sculpture, a painting or an artistic project that demonstrates an understanding of Clay Hill Farm’s message: We are all green in some way, so pick your shade and shout it to the world. TM Five finalists in the contest will be revealed on January 10th at a bridal fair in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The finalists will then begin a month-long public vote campaign. The Grand Prize winners will be chosen by the number of public votes cast through the contest website, www.greenweddinggiveaway.com, just before Valentine’s Day. The contest Grand Prize includes a complete, all-inclusive, wedding ceremony and catered Reception for up to 100 guests at Clay Hill Farm on July 11, 2010, and, an all-inclusive, 9-night, dual-island honeymoon in Antigua/St. Lucia.
