CARIBBEANVIBESRADIO.COM CELEBRATES ITS 7TH ANNIVERSARY IN NOVEMBER

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 9, 2011 -- CaribbeanVibesRadio.com based in the Washington, DC area celebrates its seventh anniversary with a big blowout at V-Lounge inside Clarion Inn in Maryland, Tuesday November 22, 2011. The event is coined, The Special Edition of Reggae Tuesdays.

Founder, Fiona Wright, who’s lived in the U.S. since 1982 has always had a love for Caribbean music. She was born in England to Jamaican parents and lived in Jamaica for the first seven years of her life. The desire to share more Caribbean music entertainment only increased especially with the lack of a dedicated Caribbean format radio station in the Washington, DC market. Weekends are the only time to tune in to such format, including, Von Martin’s “Caribbeana” (89.3-FM, WPFW, 7-10 p.m., Saturdays), Tony Carr's "This is Reggae Music" ( 89.3-FM, WPFW, 12-2 a.m., Sundays), John Blake’s “The Caribbean Experience”(96.3-FM, WHUR, 12-6 a.m., Sundays), Papa Wabe’s “The Caribbean Affair” out of Baltimore (89.9 FM, WEAA, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturdays).

CaribbeanVibesRadio.com has been promoted lately through a weekly mixer called, REGGAE TUESDAYS, which highlights live music courtesy of the areas’ reggae bands. On November 22nd, a special anniversary concert is set to feature New Kingston Band from New York by way of Jamaica. Showtime is from 7:30 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. Awards will be given to the areas' "Most Popular Band" as well as Reggae Tuesdays "Congeniality" award.
