December 24, 2011

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 24, 2011 --

Known as "Carnage: The Rebirth", Mike Strauss, creator and writer of the film can now happily say that his dream of being a screenwriter has finally come true. Drew Evans, producer and creator of the series A TIGER in the DARK as well as the short film Backstab and numerous upcoming film projects alike has agreed to bring Mr. Strauss' vision of a dark, morbid and utterly grotesque world of werewolf's devouring gladiators in modern day to the small screen, Netflix and Itunes that is. Mr. Strauss was inspired to write "Carnage: The Rebirth" after he saw the movie "Feast." Carnage is similar in ways yet differs greatly in plot and story. The only similarity the films share are that they take place in one location rather than spanning numerous arenas and landscapes. The location which is still "top secret" has numerous floors (aka levels) and like Bruce Lee in "The Game of Death" the gladiator must fight his through the many chambers to the final arena. What lies in wait at the top level is to be seen. Mr. Strauss admits that the movie has little dialogue may very well be seen by audiences as a glorified "Bloodsport" with no plot only an intense forty minutes of fight after fight after fight. The fim which features actors of all cultures has spoken dialogue in english, french and spanish. Yet, he does insist that when the film is over you will want to delve deeper into the story as the end and purpose of the massive "carnage" is revealed for what it truly is. Though, he won't speak to much about what audiences will witness as the film comes to a close. Yet, he assures those that can withstand the blood, gore and intense language that "you will be satisfied." He hinted at a possible sequel yet confirms that no plans to produce "Carnage 2" are in the works. Drew Evans who has received rave reviews for his talent as an editor has not only agreed to produce the film under his production company but will edit the film as well. Mr. Evans retired form the stunt industry in September of 2011 and subsequently The Screen Actors Guild. Mr. Strauss admits that if not for Drew and his former stunt team and industry contacts that "Carnage" would never have seen the light of day. The film features squibs with enormous amounts gun play including shotgun blasts and machine gun fire. It also features gravity defying martial arts and acrobatics. The film will be released on DVD and VOD spring of 2012. A more "acceptable" version will be submitted to film festivals around the world with the hopes that it will win awards and reviews in favor of the film.
