As long as I remember, healing has always been a part of my life. it started when my great-grandmother lost her eyesight and I had to lead her to the way she had to go every day and every minute. That became one of the most important magical moments of my life, as I became her guide for vision; she became a guide for me, teaching me so much words of wisdom and teaching me about love. Sometimes I would go through problems on the daily life, since I grew up without my mom and dad. Along the way, I experienced really unpleasant experiences and I wouldn't tell my great-grandmother. When I gave her hand to guide her, she would feel just by the grip of my hand that something was wrong and she would ask me: "what has happened?" I was always fascinated by how she could see that I was going through problems and I would ask her: “Mme, how do you know that? “She would say: “it is easy to hide the pain via our image, but very difficult via the spirit. I can feel it in the way you are holding my hand. And she would say then: “you know, for you Rahaba, never be angry to those people who do harm to you, they are lost and they want to share the beauty you have.” she moved me away softly from my sorrows to the wonderful melodies of her wisdom. At this time she was about 103 years old, so aging was really catching up with her. She was starting getting sick and it was escalating yearly. One day she was in deep pain and I said to her: “Mme, I would like to help you to get rid of the pains.” she then started guiding me on what to do, which medicines to get and how to prepare it. It helped her sometimes, and she would let me know that I helped her, her pains were a bit lesser, she said. When she became 112 years old, her sickness escalated and I became very afraid, because I knew, if anything happens to her, I would be alone. The elder people didn’t care so much, she became a bit of a burden. At that time I was about twelve years old. I stood on her side every day, she had then told me that I was a special girl, and she could feel how important it was for me to relieve her pain. She confirmed that I had healed her and she told me: “keep doing what you do, keep nurturing and use your senses, you will always be with somebody. “She also added:” life might seem difficult at the moment, but with the richness that you have and your purity, you will always touch those who come your way. At that time I was already getting a bit mature trying to get to know who I was. more terrible thing were happening on my side, one day I ran away, Mme was sick and I couldn’t communicate with her anymore and my situation was very difficult. I had to take a decision, to go away. One morning I told her I was leaving. She asked: “where are you going? “ I said: ‘I didn’t know where I will go.” I couldn’t tell her that I was running away. She replied finally: “always look after yourself, never forget your essence of touch and feeling, stay innocent and always pray….if you encounter any negative energies, open the bible and put it under the pillow and god will always be there, and watching over you. I was you get old and reach my age….” I said to her: “I hope that I don’t get so old, 99 years old was more then enough…” She smiled and I think that she knew that I was about to go away, because life was becoming too difficult and she couldn’t protect me anymore. Then I left, and i went to my father, I was searching for the special person in me, as my great-grandmother told me to search for. I remember having conversation with my father. I told him that i desired to become a doctor. My father told me that it wasn’t of my quality to become a doctor, dressmaking should be fine. I became that, a dressmaker and fahiondesigner. When I reached 18 years old, i heard my great-grandmother had passed away, two years ago and they only told me now. I felt like my world was shattered, one day I became very depressed. I discovered something very interesting in depression. All the conversation with my great-grandmother came back and i could hear her. i remembered that she said she would always be there, when i was in need. i heard her voice, saying; “don’t forget, you are a healer.” at that time i was earning money with making clothes, but the special girls my great-grandmother saw, was not there. i moved away from ..Johannesburg.. and went to ....cape town..... The first day in ....Cape Town...., i went to the nature, as my great grand mother advised me where i would always find answers, in the deepest of Mother Nature. When i left that place, i bought a newspaper to find a job. To my surprise, i saw an ad, there was a lady looking for a therapists. The ad mentioned that training was provided. To cut a story short, i was hired and the first day they gave me a body, the magic happened. I felt as if i came home. I remember I massaged the person, the training was supposed to be two months; my training only took few days. All what my great-grandmother said and taught me came back, the essence of touch and the special person that I had to find, I had found her. Instead of following the in company training, I applied all that my great-grandmother taught me and I met the world through the passion of finding myself and the love of memory that I had from my great-grandmother. Now I teach this technique all over the world.
