Catalyst Technology Group Welcomes Shannon Boyd

Chicago, Illinois, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) August 21, 2010 -- Catalyst Technology Group welcomes Shannon Boyd as a senior network engineer at our Chicago office. Shannon brings with him more than 10 years of network engineering and administration experience.

He has experience in a wide variety of IT projects ranging in size from just a few users to several thousand nodes spanning the globe. He has worked with numerous brands including Microsoft, Apple, Cisco, HP, Compaq, and Citrix and with a variety of industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, legal, advertising, pharmaceutical, military/government, law enforcement, hospitality, and municipal government. Most recently, his experience includes leading a project for a 4,000-seat multi-site international Exchange 2007 migration.

Shannon served for 10 years in the U.S. Marines and is a decorated veteran of Desert Storm. He was a member of the Championship Marine Corps rifle and pistol teams from 1993 to 1996 and won several interservice competitions with them. He has trained with Scout Snipers, Demolition teams, Paratroopers, Navy Seals, and the FBI.

He is married with six children ranging in age from 6 to 24. He is currently working on a Bachelor of Science degree in network communications management from DeVry University and has maintained a GPA over 3.7.
