United Kingdom of Great Britain & N. Ireland -- Free-Press-Release.com-- Feb 4, 2010 -- People who love art, design and comic books have the opportunity to indulge in all their passions in one place at the annual Comicon event in Naples, which is set to take place in the Italian city in just a few short weeks.
Castel Sant'Elmo, which is within easy reach of the wide array of Naples hotels, is due to play host to the 2010 edition of the showcase, which features exhibitions, musical performances and guest speakers from all over the world.
In addition to the regular exhibition spaces, there is also a section of the event - entitled CartooNA - that is dedicated entirely to animated films.
Posters for the showcase are set to be designed and created by artist Jim Lee. Each year, Comicon bases its promotional material around a specific colour in order to create a truly unique aesthetic. This year's choice is black.
The event - which is now in its 12th year - is due to take place between April 30th and May 2nd 2010.
According to WhatsOnWhen, tickets cost €8 (£7.12), while concessions are priced at €6 and a four-day pass for the event is €20, meaning that those with a passion for comics could make real savings if they attend each day of the showcase.
"LateRooms anticipates heavy demand for hotel Napoli due to the Comicon and recommends that people attending book their accommodation early," says LateRooms head of marketing Jess Reading.
