CBS News chooses ATT-Tactical for Anchor Reporter's Body Armor
CBS News National has selected Applied Tactical Technologies, Inc. (ATT-Tactical) as its exclusive vendor for body armor, to be used by on-air Anchor Reporters while deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) September 2, 2009 --
Applied Tactical Technologies, Inc., (ATT-TACTICAL™) a privately held New York corporation that provides weaponry, explosives and support equipment to law enforcement and military end-users, announced today that they have been selected to provide body armor for cameramen, soundmen and on-air Anchor reporters while on assignment in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“This is quite an honor to be chosen by CBS to provide all the protective gear needed for their operations in the world’s hot-spots. We designed, manufactured and assembled their equipment on the very same assembly facility that is used to produce the current US Marine Corp MTV (Modular Tactical Vest)”, stated J. Glazer, Applied Tactical Technologies’ Media Relations Director. “The company chose us because of our unparallel dedication to providing the very best equipment that ensures the operator can make it home to his family”, he provided.
The vests are assembled into a deployment “KIT” with everything needed for the operations, at the ATT-TACTICAL facility on Long Island. “Our Level IIIA Soft Ballistics with our Ceramic/Boron Rifle Plates brings CBS employees up to the same protection levels as our USMC,” added J. Glazer.
