CDR FoodLabFat in a study at the 7th Euro Fed Lipid Congress (Graz 18th - 21st October 2009)

CDR FoodLabFat, analysis system to perform Quality Control of oils and fats, has been used during a study made by the University of Hamburg which will be presented at the 7th Euro Fed Lipid Congress

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 8, 2009 -- At the 7th EuroFedLipid Congress , which this year will take place in Graz from 18th to 21st October, the University of Hamburg will expose a study about the stability of vegetable oil in which CDR FoodLabFat device has been used to determine Peroxide Value (PV) and Anisidine Value (AnV) .

In more detail, the study, named "Stability of high oleic vegetable oils towards light exposure " (Poster OXI-007, Section: Lipid Bioscience – Lipid Oxidation) investigates the influence of light on the oxidative stability of high oleic vegetable oils.

This is not the first time members of Universities used CDR instruments to carry out important studies; in fact during the 6th EuroFedLipid International Congress University of Hamburg presented another research where CDR FoodLabFat was employed to investigate "The oxidative stability of deep-frying oils ". Moreover, Oxitester , another instrument of CDR FoodLab Line, has been used also by the University of Athens which has validated CDR method as a very good alternative to Rancimat publishing the study "A novel photometric method for evaluation of oxidative stability of vergin olive oils " in the Journal of AOAC International [Vol. 91, No 4, 2008].
