CEAMA welcomes the new president, Mr. Anirudh Dhoot, Director Videocon Group

After the board meeting with the representatives of CEAMA, Mr. Anirudh Dhoot took over the responsibility as the President of CEAMA and addressed the gathering of eminent corporate and industrialists and shared his views on the vision of CEAMA. Mr. Dhoot has been associated with the consumer durables industry for more than a decade now. Expressing his gratitude, he stated “In order to see augmentation in the industry, every function of various Government bodies has to work in partnership for desired future growth. As the new President of CEAMA, I am obliged to associate for the interest of Consumer electronics Industry as a whole. It will be in my continued efforts to garner support from all members, as well as, the Government and highlight relevant industry issues at appropriate forums and times,”
CEAMA is one of the most credible and transparent industry bodies to have been associated with prominent industrialists like Dr. Y.V Verma, Outgoing President CEAMA and COO- LG Electronics India and Mr. Ravinder Zutshi –Deputy Managing Director, Samsung India Electronics.

The function was attended by Industry Leaders from the major companies like LG, Samsung, Videocon, Panasonic, Philips, Onida, Godrej, Whirlpool, Haier, Sharp, STMicroelectronics, Government officials and representatives of the trade. The agenda of discussion started with Confirmation of the Minutes of the last General Body Meeting, to the CEAMA Accounts for the financial year 2010-11.

Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association (CEAMA) is an all India body of organizations in Consumer Electronics and Durables sector that is currently Rs. 30,000 Crore Industry. It is registered as a non-profit organization, looking after the common interests of its members, for sustainable growth in the sector. It has been in existence for over 31 years. Presently, there are more than 100 members. Any bonafide company having interest in consumer electronics sector can become a member of the association. The membership spectrum comprises of domestic and MNCs, and includes large, medium and small scale sector. About Anirudh Dhoot
Anirudh Dhoot born on 31st August 1978 in Kolkata India, is one of the youngest entrepreneurs of India. He is the Director of the Videocon Group and also the Head of Sales & Marketing of Videocon’s Consumer Electronics Division.

Anirudh Dhoot is an alumnus of the Cardiff University, UK from where he completed his MBA. At the age of 21 he joined the family business. He has been one of the youngest CEO of India Inc. He then moved on to setting up Videocon’s state-of-the-art Greenfield plant in Kashipur (Uttarakhand). After this rich experience, he started heading the Sales & Marketing activities of the Videocon Group. He also Heads Videocon’s ambitious Power projects which are being set up in Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand. With his unsurpassable zeal and dedication to achieve, Anirudh Dhoot also became one of the youngest members of ASSOCHAM, FICCI, Indian Merchant Chamber and other similar bodies. He is also Chairman of IT & Electronics Cell of ASSOCHAM. Recently he was honoured by the ‘D.Y Patil Businessman of the Year Award’.
