Cecile Richards to launch “Women are Watching” campaign in New Hampshire on eve of the Presidential Primary

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 4, 2012 -- Manchester, NH ---A new national effort called “Women are Watching” will be launched in New Hampshire ahead of the first in the nation primary, with a series of events on January 5th and 6th.

“Women are Watching” is the Planned Parenthood Action Fund’s women’s health campaign to educate, engage, and encourage direct dialog with candidates in the 2012 elections. The “Women are Watching” campaign includes a website, womenarewatching.org, which Cosmopolitan magazine calls “The new site every woman needs to visit.” It highlights women’s health “Chumps” like Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich; as well as women’s health “Champs” like President Obama.

The campaign will be conducted in New Hampshire in conjunction with the Planned Parenthood of Northern New England Action Fund.

Cecile Richards, President of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund will be in New Hampshire on January 5th and 6th to kick off this historic campaign and to speak with women voters. She will participate in a series of events during her trip to the Granite State.

On Thursday evening, Richards will be joined by Senator Jeanne Shaheen and PPNNE CEO Steve Trombley for a “Women are Watching” kickoff event to celebrate grassroots activists in Manchester.

On Friday, Richards will attend a fundraiser for New Hampshire Executive Council candidate Colin Van Ostern at the home of Dick and Sharon Nordgren in Hanover.

Richards will also be the featured guest at a gathering of young professionals in Concord at the home of Jay Surdukowski and a private dinner at the home of State Senator Sylvia Larsen.
