Celeb Trainer Kenya Crooks brings :The Weight is Over Tour" to South Carolina

Atlanta (Metro And Surrounding Areas), Georgia, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) June 28, 2011 -- Greenville,SC- This fall, celebrity trainer “The World’s Greatest Weight loss Expert” Kenya Crooks (the exercise guru behind stars like 6 time Grammy Award winner Toni Braxton and Rodney Perry (Co-host of B.E.T.’s the Mo’Nique Show and Co-star of Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family) will launch “The Weight is Over” tour for his home state of South Carolina!

In an effort to spread awareness and fight obesity in these regions, the “assembly line to fine” challenge will take place in Charleston, Columbia, Greenville, Myrtle Beach and will award 1 winner, from each city, an all-expenses paid trip to Costa Rica!

The 45-day competition (sponsored by Kenya Crooks and Hotel Costa Coral) is designed to encourage and support participants weight loss goals, general fitness and overall health and wellness initiatives.

“Obesity is not only an issue in my home state of South Carolina,” says the fitness aficionado who is also responsible for music producer Jazze Pha’s dramatic 75 pound weight loss reduction. “It’s an issue all over this country. Its an epidemic in the Black community especially. I was inspired by “The First Lady” to put on this workout challenge, especially since she’s spearheading a national campaign to eradicate obesity in America. We (South Carolina) were ranked as high as the 5th fattest state in America in some surveys. We’re going to address the problem head on, and save the lives of millions while we’re at it.”

In conjunction with “The Weight is Over” dancers, rappers, singers and choirs will battle for the top spot in a Gospel talent show scheduled for November 11, 2011 at The Carolina First Center in Greenville, SC. Winners will take home a $1000 cash prize and the winning artist(s) will open for gospel legend John P. Kee. Auditions for the show will be held in various cities in South Carolina.
