Celebrating American Heroes with America's Favorite Past-Time: The US Coast Guard Birthday Celebration Continues

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 13, 2009 -- Clearwater, FL., August 2009 - In celebration of the 219th birthday of the US Coast Guard, Emerge Tampa Bay, the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce young professionals group, is taking on the United States Coast Guard in a softball challenge and kicking off a food drive to benefit the RCS Food Bank.

The party begins at 4:00pm Saturday, August 15 at Bright House Field-Hwy 19 and Drew Street in Clearwater where you can come cheer on your US Coast Guard and Clearwater's bright young professionals.

Following the softball game, the Clearwater Threshers take on the Tampa Yankees at 6:30 pm. All attendees of the game are asked to join in the birthday celebration and bring a gift of canned food. In addition, a percentage of the ticket sales will be donated to RCS to help STOP Hometown Hunger.

The ticket price is $15 per person which includes ALL YOU CAN EAT & DRINK from 5:00-8:00pm. The celebration culminates with a firework display after the game-fun for the whole family. Free food includes: Hot Dogs, Hamburgers/cheeseburgers, peanuts, popcorn, chips, ice cream sandwiches, soft drinks and bottled water. Plus...16oz draft beers for $2.
