Labor Day is a much anticipated day in many respects. It is observed as a federal holiday and holds a lot of significance. It is important to educate people as to why Labor Day is observed. Usually there are some sort of celebration and gathering (a barbecue or perhaps a festival) to mark the occasion in most places. The celebrations are also symbolic in many ways as they represent the union of workers not just in the U.S. but also globally and although it is observed on different days, it is a globally recognized day.
Emphasizing the Fact that You have a Job
The achievements and contributions of the working class to society are significant. In many places the holiday is celebrated by watching a baseball game and preparing for the upcoming NFL season. It is also a day when immigration lawyers get a much needed break from their activities. It is also important to cherish the idea that you have a job and that market forces have allowed a job that you possess to exist and to be happy that you have earned the education and skills that someone in your position needs.
Illegal Alien Medicaid Expenses
This is a tough day for many Americans since millions of Americans do not have jobs and much of that is attributed to the President’s policies. This is something that immigration lawyers wish did not affect them but it does. Considering the fact that American spends $2.5 billion a year on Medicaid for illegal aliens when America is broke and millions are not working; this is a tough pill to swallow.
Something to Think About
Immigration lawyers are cognizant of the fact that we spend $12 billion a year on educated illegal aliens. This is why they want immigrants to go through the process legally.Regarding this holiday, it is a globally recognized occasion and we should be happy that we have a job (those of us who do) and not take it for granted.
