Celebrating the birth of Prophet Mohammad

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 14, 2011 -- THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE HOSTS RELIGIOUS CONCERTS AND HONORS THE WINNERS OF AL BURDAH AWARDS

The ceremony included a number of religious songs and poems to mark the birthday of the Prophet, in addition to honoring the winners of Al Burdah Awards and some other religious activities.

Participating in the event was a group of the Emirati and Arab singers and vocalists including Fayez Al Saeed, Ihab Tawfiq, Saber Arrubaei, Jassim Mohammed, Al Wasmi, Ahmed Al Ali, Ali Ismail, vocalist Mutasim Bellah Al Osseily and vocalist Emad Rami with the UAE Choral Group and the National Band of Folk Arts.
Bilal Al Bodoor, Assistant Deputy for Culture and Arts in the Ministry said that Al Burdah award and the celebration of the Prophet's birth reflect the membership of the real belonging of UAE to the Islamic culture and its appreciation of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Bilal Al Budoor, Assistant Deputy for Culture and Arts at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development underlined the impressive results of the Al Burdah Awards in its past editions and the positive effects it has had on the cultural, artistic and poetic community. The Al Burdah Awards have become a unique cultural and poetic feature in the Arab and Islamic scene.
The award aims to stimulate new generations to commit to their religion and to recognize their obligations towards the Islamic mission apart from encouraging the spirit of competition among the participants and fostering greater innovation.
