August 22 Shane West, noted for “A Walk to Remember” fame, has had a lawsuit filed by the law firm of Ariel Law Group (Los Angeles) for a 2-car accident

Los Angeles, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) August 23, 2010 -- August 22 Shane West, noted for “A Walk to Remember” fame, has had a lawsuit filed by the law firm of Ariel Law Group (Los Angeles) for a 2-car accident that happened two years ago.
The civil lawsuit alleges that the star ran into the alleged victim, Richard Glenn Grim on Santa Monica Boulevard. The complaint filed on Grim’s behalf claims that Shane West "rear-ended" Mr. Grimm and caused five thousand dollars in damages to his car.

The real problem,is that Mr. Grim's knee was injured in the accident, and that two subsequent surgeries have been required. The statute of limitations for personal injury lawsuits in California is two years so it was imperative to have the lawsuit filed “to protect the future implications of the knee injury”.

Ariel says, "We would like to reach a fair settlement with Mr. West's auto insurance company company."

The lawsuit was picked up by TMZ.com and reported in their August 22 issue. Frank Ariel responded to Frank Ariel comments on the lawsuit.
