FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
St. Louis, Missouri, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) February 9, 2012 -- St. Louis, MO, February 9, 2012. Century Game Company today released a new mobile game allowing iPhone and iPad users to live every taxpayer’s fantasy – to Screw the IRS. The game is now available in the Apple Store http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/screw-the-i.r.s./id498158812?mt=8&ls=1. The object of the game is to get your income to match your expenses so you pay no tax. The game offers a fun, fictional way to deal with the real frustration of paying Uncle Sam.

Game play begins when players expose a Salary (SAL) card, then try to match that salary by playing Expense (EXP) cards of varying amounts. Bluffing is a central strategy of the game. If an opponent suspects you have too many expenses, he can hit you with an Audit card and all EXP cards you can’t back up with Proof (PRF) cards are forfeited. A Back Taxes card has to be played before the player can play any new EXP cards. The first player that has EXP cards that equal their SAL card and plays a Screw the I.R.S card — Wins The Game.

SCREW THE I.R.S was originally created as a card game in 1984 when St. Louis business woman Margie Haag and her tax accountant friend Judy Laski decided to bring some levity to the much dreaded tax season and poke a little fun at the U.S. tax system. “We all have to pay taxes and no one really likes it, so we might as well laugh about it and have some fun along the way,” explains Haag. Fast forward 27 years and Haag, an avid iPad and iPhone gamer, decided to develop a mobile version of the game. The game is available for iPad, iPhone and iTouch, and accommodates two to four players. Future releases will include a Game Center version so you can play with family and friends, and there are plans to develop an Android version of the game as well.
