Jump6 doctors will insert a balloon into Cortis’ stomach through his mouth and fill it with sterile water. In less than ten minutes and without surgery, Cortis will experience the intragastric balloon procedure and will enroll in the Jump6 program designed to support him in keeping the weight off through diet, exercise, nutritional and lifestyle counseling. As with all patients, Cortis will continue with this counseling for an additional six months after the balloon is removed in six months.
