CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Launches Local TV Show on Personal Finances

Ormond Beach, Florida – February 15, 2012. David Holland, CFP®, author, and radio host will launch his new television show, Real Money with David Holland Monday, February 20th on WESH Channel 2, the local NBC affiliate, at 12:30pm. The 30-minute show will feature content on personal finances including topics such as annuities, avoiding financial scams, selecting a financial professional, and commonly used investment strategies. The show is based on David Holland’s first two books, Secrets to a Secure Retirement and How to Get Great Advice, both part of his Confessions of a Financial Planner series.

“I come from a family of teachers and so it’s in my blood to teach,” said David Holland, host of Real Money with David Holland. “It has always been my mission to educate my clients on how to best handle their personal finances. This work inspired me to write my Confessions series and use this as the basis to create the TV show.”

David Holland has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years and in 1997 founded his own firm, Holland Financial in Ormond Beach, Florida. Drawing from his experience of working with hundreds of clients, David wrote the Confessions series to impart a general knowledge of personal finance to a wide audience. In the spring of 2011, he began hosting a daily radio show with a similar message. Bearing the same name as the television show, Real Money with David Holland, is broadcast on two AM talk stations in the Volusia County area.

Real Money with David Holland, the TV show, began filming with King’s Eye Productions in the fall of 2011. The majority of the show is shot at the Holland Financial Center where a studio was constructed within the office. Eighteen episodes are planned for Season 1. In addition to David’s commentary, most episodes will include expert interviews as well as real world questions and emails.
