The R4iDSN team was just released a upgrade path to get R4iDSN 3DS card work on 3DS latest firmware v2.2.0-4. The upgrade file has about 3.4M. In order to get the correct upgrading, user must read carefully the readme.txt file before proceed the upgrade to your R4iDSN card.

How to upgrade R4iDSN 3DS card for 3DS v2.2.0-4 firmware ?

This patch is designed for r4idsn 3ds released by r4idsn.com, In order to make your r4idsn 3ds run on 3DS

V2.2.0-4, you should update your card with this patch, Please follow the instructions below:


There are two way to upgrade your R4iDSN 3DS cards.

First one is to upgrade via DS Lite
The other one is to upgrade the R4iDSn card via DSi.



Here is a way to upgrade via DS Lite

In case of card broken(no card found, no Icon displayed): Using the patch: 3DS22_Patch_R4iDSN_3DS_NDSL.nds

You should get a NDSL and another flashcard(called R4iDSN 3DS card), which works properly on NDSL.

1.Download the latest WOOD R4 firmware from www.r4idsn.com and unzip it to the root directory of your tf card

2.Copy 3DS22_Patch_R4iDSN_3DS_NDSL.nds to your tf card

3.You should get a NDSL

4.Just power your NDSL on and boot up 3DS22_Patch_R4iDSN_3DS_NDSL.nds with R4iDSN 3DS card

5.Take R4iDSN 3DS card out of the NDSL

6.Reinsert your broken r4idsn 3ds card into the NDSL

7.Press KEY_A and the updating process will begin

8.You should keep your NDSL powered on during the updating process

9.IF the result shows SUCCESS, it means you have updated your r4idsn 3DS successfully and this card can work on


Below, the way to upgrade R4iDSN 3DS card via NDSi V1.4.3 and 3DS 2.2.0-4

In case of card non-broken(Icon showed up but error): Using the patch: 3DS22_Patch_R4iDSN_3DS_NDSi.nds



1.Download the latest WOOD R4 firmware from www.r4idsn.com and unzip it to the root directory of your tf card

2.Copy 3DS22_Patch_R4iDSN_3DS_NDSi.nds to your tf card

3.You should get a NDS or a Nintendo 3DS whose version is under V2.2.0-4 to complete the updating process

4.Just power your NDSi on and boot up 3DS22_Patch_R4iDSN_3DS_NDSi.nds

5.Attention:do not take out your R4iDSN 3DS card

6.Press KEY_A and the updating process will begin

7.You should keep your NDSi powered on during the updating process

8.IF the result shows SUCCESS, it means you have updated your r4idsn 3DS successfully and this card can work on
