ChÃ¡vez' Legacy casts light on Latin America - Correa says: "The revolution must continue!"

In a recent interview with the press association Reuters on the 12th of December 2012 in Quito, Correa said about ChÃ¡vez' health condition that, œif the gravity of his illness meant he could not continue to lead Venezuela, the revolutions must continue, in Venezuela, in Ecuador, in Argentina, in Bolivia." What Correa is talking about is the movement that has brought together Latin American countries in order to minimize the influence of their big and mighty œneighbor, the United States.

Therefore, Venezuela and Ecuador have over several years passed a number of collaboration agreements on education, agriculture, trade, energy or tourism. For example, an oil refinery is being built on Ecuador's North coast with interests held by Ecuador and Venezuela. According to several news reports throughout the web, this is only one of the agreements that aims on limiting the influence of the United States in Latin America, where Venezuela owns 12 refineries. In terms of tourism, the two nations have agreed on the exchange of information on popular tourist destinations in each country as well as on the collaboration in terms of developing a joint tourism product, following Simon BÃ³livar, a former Latin American independence leader, on his path to independence.

However, not only Ecuador and Venezuela have come to agreements in the spirit of Latin American liberation, but also, for example the two former arch-enemies Ecuador and Peru, who have fought many wars in the past over territories. Regarding other airlines operating on these routes already, it is obvious that there is continuous development going on in terms of transportation.
