FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) March 23, 2011 -- Disaster occur when it is least expected but the ability to be operational ready even if the disaster disrupts your business says that your organization probably have a Business Continuity (BC) Plan. Business Continuity managers were reminded that beyond setting up of a BC plan, the real challenge is to manage it to ensure an effective and sustainable BC Implementation that the Singapore government is keen to make sure organizations are well funded to achieve that.

The recently held Meet the Expert (MTE) seminar in Furama City Centre had some of the region's top Business Continuity expert providing their insights on managing risks, resiliency and continuity in an organization and how organizations can benefit from government fundings.

A holistic BCM implementation would entails of an end to end program management starting with allocating funds for the program, developing staff competency to manage it, implement the BC policy, thorough assessment of the program and finally obtaining a BCM certification as President of BCM Institute, Dr Goh Moh Heng simplified it. On the other hand, the Singapore government provide up to 80% grant for the cost of sending staff for BCM training, engaging a consultancy firm and also obtaining a BCM certification through its agencies such as Info-communications Development Authority (IDA) and Singapore Business Federation (SBF) to encourage organizations to have a BCM program implemented.

In respond to the government support, BCM institute launched its C3 campaign last August to help organizationsin realizing their Business Continuity visions.

Also were present in this MTE seminar were Mr. Jeremy Wong, Senior Vice President of GMH Pte Ltd and Mr. Joseph Thomas, Country Market Manager, DNV Business Assurance Pte Ltd who provided the guest with their expert perspective on managing risks in the BC context and consultant's approach in conducting risk analysis and review for an organization.
