Chance For Locals To Meet The Overseas Apostles

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 6, 2010 -- A distinguished group of 10 Apostles, from around the globe, will visit the historic site at Santo on September 12th 2010, to once again declare a prophetic proclamation over Vanuatu.

70 well known senior global church leaders, Apostles, will be hosted by Vanuatu, voted the Happiest Country on Earth in 2006 and again in 2010, for a Global Apostolic Summit on the 14th-16th September.

On the 14th, 15th and 16th September, public meetings will be held at the Seafront Stage at 6.30 p.m. This will be the time when local Ni-Vanuatu people will be able to see the Apostles and hear what they have to say concerning Vanuatu, a nation that is rapidly rising on the global stage, having just successfully hosted the Pacific Islands Forum.

The Apostles believe that Vanuatu will lead a Christian revival that will influence Australia and New Zealand and the other Pacific Island Nations.

The Global Apostolic Network join together for an annual conference, where they seek inspiration for what God is saying to the nations. This is the first time the group has felt led to gather in a Developing Country.

The seventy leaders represent such diverse nations as American, Australia, Central America, United States, Ghana, African El Salvador and Mexico), Central America (Honduras, New Zealand, Australian Aboriginal & Islanders, Russia and India.

Captain Pedro Fernadex de Quiros, the Portuguese navigator, named the land he was standing on as the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit, on the 14th May 1606.

He had made land on the largest island of what was then known as the New Hebrides, (Vanuatu). He believed he had discovered the great southern continent, (Australia). He named it La Australia del Espiritu Santo. His intention was to establish a colony, to be known as Nova Jerusalem.

He tried to establish a new Order of Chivalry, the Knights of the Holy Ghost, designed to protect the new colony. He eventually abandoned his idea, due to the unfriendliness of the Ni-Vanuatu people and arguments between his own crew.

The island Quiros landed on kept the name Espiritu Santo and is the largest island of the 80 tropical island archipelago of Vanuatu, situated in the North West corner of the South Pacific.

The Matantas Chief was present and performed an exchange gift ceremony to celebrate the occasion. As a sign of reconciliation and cleansing of the land, both Spanish and European representatives were thrilled to receive these gifts.

Vanuatu has just celebrated its 30th year of independence, a year nominated in biblical terms as ‘Maturity’.
